Oh how would you like to know what was served aboard the P&O Aracdia cruiseliner in January 1975?
Arcadia was launched in 1953 and in 1954 she conducted her maiden voyage from the UK to Australia via the Suez Canal. In 1970, she became a full time one-class cruise ship until 1979.
This is a set of 4 menu cards (slightly smaller than A4 size) from a late January 1975 voyage.
On the front are some fabulous cartoons and on the back a series of nautical expressions.
Australian Lindemans Burgundy, Rose or Riesling was only 30c a glass!
A set of 4 dinner menus in mint condition for 39-years old. Did you know someone who set sail on this ship?
These would look fabulous framed and would make a fun piece to display in the coastal home.
